around.

Return To
AC Life
Scenes of disorder and con
fusion filled the lobbies, parking
lots, and streets of Atlantic
Christian College last week. The
lull which has ascended over the
campus during the few weeks
between summer session and
fall semester ended in the hectic
return of students.
Upperclassmen and transfers
made the trek back to school
September 7 to find a few drastic
changes in the campus. Little
progress had been made on the
new girls dormitory. The only
evidence of work on the struc
ture was the noice.
Pedestrials experienced the
joy of walking to any class on
campus without fear of bodily
injury. Female upperclassmen
were overjoyed to find “liberal”
rule changes. Freshmen women
(known through-out the world as
Harper Hall Women) seemed a
little dismayed when confronted
with the Code of Living for
Resident Women.
There was the usual stampede
to the cafeteria, where each
student was greeted by the
bright smiles of the cafeteria
bunch. Here could be heard the
“ooh’s-and-ah’s, and “what is
it”! (Now you know why Coach
Parham's First Aid Course is so
popular.)
All considered it was the usual
return. Boys stood on corners
and watched girls, and girls
stood by windows and surveyed
the prospects.
Welcome back, students of
Atlantic Christian College.
New girls at ACC quickly learn who the campus suckers are by
strewing their belongings along the curb asking every boy they
see to tote about four thousand pounds of junk up to the third
floor. Carry your teddy bear, honey? ^
and “Sitting in the Park .
A Monday-night talent show lightened orientation for the frosh,
and as usual at least one aspiring young Joan Baez brought the
house down.
